Since 1996, Physicians Medical Center has provided the Tri-Parish area with an alternative to the traditional hospital experience. Located on Corporate Drive in Houma, the 7 acre campus is immediately adjacent to Tunnel Boulevard, the ever-expanding retail corridor of the Tri-Parish area. Physicians Medical Center is a Medi-Care certified, state licensed acute care hospital. The hospital has 5 operating rooms, one cysto suite, one endoscopy suite, a lithotripter, 30 in-patient rooms, a comprehensive Breast Cancer Center and a Radiation Oncology Center.

 

Physicians Medical Center has performed over 50,000 surgical procedures. The hospital employs over 120 local residents, including 50 nurses. Over 100 local physicians are credentialed to practice at the hospital.
