Breast Cancer Center
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women, exceeded only by lung cancer.Statistics demonstrate that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer sometime in her life. The stage at which breast cancer is detected influences a woman's survival. If detected early, the five-year survival rate is 97%.
 
In November of 2007, PMC began its mammography program. Due to the overwhelming success of the program, it was decided to dedicate an entire facility to breast health services. In March of 2009, we opened our state of the art, 11,000 square foot comprehensive Breast Cancer Center. In a spa-like environment, the Breast Cancer Center offers screening and diagnostic digital mammography, breast ultrasound, bone densitometry, stereotactic biopsy as well as a full scope of surgical intervention procedures performed by board certified breast and plastic surgeons. Utilizing the most sophisticated diagnostic technology and state-of-the-art science treatment available, the Breast Cancer Center at Physicians Medical Center provide world-class, quality care in an aesthetically-pleasing and supportive environment.
