Opened in 1996 by a group of leading community physicians, Physicians Medical Center is a 30 bed acute care hospital located 50 miles Southwest of New Orleans in the city of Houma, Louisiana.
Originally opened as an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Physicians Medical Center has since expanded into an acute care facility with multiple service lines.
Physicians Medical Center currently operates 30 medical/surgical beds, has performed in excess of 62,000 procedures, and employs 160 employees. Our medical staff is comprised of more than 100 physicians.
Our hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, a number of specialty and services, and a full range of ancillary and support services.
